     I believe that social media shall be to find new people or people with whom you have lost connection with and social media is not to be a substitute of one to one talking with people whom you know and can easily meet. It shall rather be for finding great personalities that we can’t meet or find new people.

Facebook

 Facebook is the biggest social media site around, with more than two billion people using it every month. It is available in 140 languages. Facebook allows you to post on wall, create Fan Pages, Groups, etc. It include more features like Chat, Likes, Photos, Videos, Text, Polls, Links, Status, Pokes, Gifts, Games, Messaging, Classified section, upload and download options for photos. In Facebook you can write as much as you want. 

 Twitter

 Twitter is a social media site for news, entertainment, sports, politics, and more. What makes Twitter different from most other social media sites is that it has a strong emphasis on real-time information — things that are happening right now. Another unique characteristic of Twitter is that it only allows 280 characters in a tweet. Twitter allows its members to follow anyone. Twitter has various metrics like Tweet, Retweet, Direct Messaging, Follow People & Trending Topics, Links, Photos, Videos.

 YouTube

 YouTube is a video-sharing platform where users watch a billion hour of videos every day. On your channel, your brand can share and edit its own videos, create playlists, and prompt discussions. As a viewer you can Make Comments, Like, Dislike, Follow, Unfollow People & Organizations.

 WhatsApp

 WhatsApp is a messaging app used by people in over 180 countries. Initially, WhatsApp was only used by people to communicate with their family and friends. Gradually, people started communicating with businesses via WhatsApp.  It include  features like Chat, Likes, Photos, Videos, Text, Polls, Links, Status, Messaging, upload and download options for photos. 

 Instagram

 Instagram is a photo and video sharing social media app. It allows you to share a wide range of content such as photos, videos, Stories, and live videos. It has also recently launched IGTV for longer-form videos. You can Chat, Make Comments, Like, Follow, Unfollow People and even hashtags.

New media is quickly changing thing. It always replace the old and come up with the new. I would like to offer a new "new media" device. Such that it will allow users to be present near each other even if they are far away. For example, if you are in New York and your friend is in Paris, you will press the button on the new device and you will be "transferred" to Paris. It will copy your projection and transfer it to any place you want. And your friend will see the projection of you walking near himself.             New media affects the society in the negative way. There is a huge problem with security, hacking and fraud.  Nowadays security agencies have access to people's personal accounts. Which makes the privacy almost compromised.  Personal data and privacy can easily be hacked and shared through the Internet.  Automatic face recognition can lead to the theft of personality, because it shares your private information to a large amount of users. Social media network should limit the function of face recognition to some extent or use it only in special cases, not on daily basis.
